The African American Museum in Philadelphia.
The African American Museum in Philadelphia houses historical exhibits and hosts a robust art gallery to share the history and culture of the African American experience. As Artist-in-Residence, Ali provides his beloved Hip Hop Jazz Musicology and Drum Circle workshops. Through these ongoing workshops available to students and tour groups, he presents musical genres of the African Diaspora created in North America. Participants will leave with an appreciation of the musical and historical influences that forged these new types of music including jazz, rock n' roll and hip hop.
