Text Rich Ali is offering online guitar classes for school age kids!
50 min classes meet once per week for 6 weeks, from Jan 12 - Feb 22, finishing with an online recital via Zoom !
Classes will be in small groups of up to 4 students per class, and grouped according to grade (K-2nd, 3rd-6th, 7th-8th).
Mr. Ali will also share supplemental materials including notes and YouTube videos for students' reference.
Classes will be conducted via Zoom.
Students must have access to a guitar at home.
(Mr. Ali is happy to help with advice on finding one!)
For students in K-2nd grade, parents are strongly encouraged to be available during lesson time.
If a student misses their class on a given week, they will be able to join an open make-up class.
Class will culminate with an online recital via Zoom for students to share with each other, family, and friends!
Learning Objectives:
1) become familiar with 9 basic open chords
2) learn string and note layout on the guitar
3) learn at least two beginner songs (2 - 3 chords)
4) introduce students to music history and culture (through short supplemental materials)
Registration: $125 for 6-week course
Mr. Ali is available to answer any questions, and happy to meet students and parents before or after registration!
